Farewell Dinner A Success!!!

Sunday, June 28, 2009

The 28th of June 2009 marked the end of an era. The ISC Lahore Alumni Association held a farewell ceremony for Mr. and Mrs. Geha and Mrs. Eve Malick, all three of whom were leaving ISC Lahore after 15 years. The ceremony, which was held at Services Club in Cantt, was well attended by both teachers and alumni alike. Although it was a sad occasion, it was an overall celebration of the many years of devoted service on part of the Geha’s, as they are affectionately referred to in the ISC circle, and Mrs. Malick. The sight of Mr. Geha patrolling the school and interacting with his students, and Mrs. Geha’s constant guidance and support to the SLO will both be sorely missed. Not to overshadow the effervescent attitude of Mrs. Malick, without whom ISC Lahore students would have been greatly disadvantaged in terms of college advice and their application processes. These are the people who have been here from the start, and they are who have built up ISC Lahore to be what it is today, an outstanding institution that regards each student as a special individual and gives each student the care and attention they deserve. As a student who has experienced a system other than what is prevalent in ISC Lahore, I can safely say there is no substitute for both the scholastic and social guidance offered to me by the Geha’s and Mrs. Malick. The atmosphere and culture of the school created by these individuals has helped many a student tap into their full potential and has helped them achieve greater things. Although they may now be gone, their influence and memory will live on for generations to come. Sarah Naeem Director Outreach ISC Lahore Alumni Association
