ISC’s 2nd Environmental Awareness Campaign

Following the success of our first environmental awareness campaign in October 2008, the students of Choueifat Lahore assembled together on Saturday, January 17, 2009 to clean up the school’s surroundings and nearby market by collecting trash. This time, the group of volunteers was larger, around 70 altogether. Those included in the trash collecting regime were eager students as well as dedicated teachers such as Ms. Imtiaz, Mrs. Razzaq, Mr. Qasim, Mr. Nasir, Mr. Rashid, Mr. Amir and Mr. Adeel. Soon, the students started competing among themselves for the heaviest bag of collected trash!
Overall our campaign proved to be yet another success.
Students’ spirits continued to run high even throughout the lunch in the school cafeteria, as the students and teachers alike sang together. We hope that in the near future our school can continue spreading awareness to the local community through similar programs and hopefully even more students will be willing to help out.

“IMDAD! You’re going to need a TETANUS SHOT!” – Ms. Imtiaz to Imdad Rahim 11L after plunging his hands bravely in to a dirty puddle.
