SABIS® Educational Summer Camp 2012
ABOUNT SABIS®: SABIS® is a global education management organization with a 125+ year track record in the operation and management of Pre-K and K-12 schools. In the year 2011-12, thousands of students were enrolled in SABIS® schools located in 15 countries on four continents. The distinguishing feature of these schools is their implementation of the SABIS® Educational System. It is a system that offers a rigorous, internationally-oriented, college-preparatory curriculum for students aged 3 to 18+, focusing primarily on the core subjects of English, mathematics, sciences, and world languages. Educational Summer Camp: For many years, the SABIS® Educational Summer Camp has combined learning, cultural enrichment, and fun. In the morning, students have classes, and in the afternoon they choose from a wide range of activities suitable for all tastes and ages. These activities offer fun, fitness, and culture. The excitement continues with the evening program. During all activities, on and off campus, students are coached and supervised by members of staff. Academic Courses: The summer camp’s academic agenda includes the following subjects at all levels: English, French, Arabic, mathematics, computer science, and some enrichment courses (Physics, Chemistry and biology may be offered if necessary). In addition to the regular courses, the camp also offers. Intensive courses in English, Arabic, and Mathematics. Remedial work, for those who may need it, in many of the subjects offered.
Sports & Activities: Sports and activities are integral to the program. On campus, students can participate in basketball, volleyball, indoor and outdoor soccer, squash, tennis, swimming, badminton, indoor hockey, aerobics, and other athletics. Off campus, students will have the opportunity to take part in other activities such as ice skating and bowling. Some activities, such as judo, and horse ridding, are also available at an additional cost. Cultural Enrichment: Staff accompany student a full and varied program of trips every weekend and specific evenings. Visits are organized to museums-scientific, historical, archaeological, or artistic – and to fun fairs and amusement parks. Accommodation: The school offers fully-equipped accommodation that ensures students enjoy comfort and safety. Each dormitory, whether it caters for boys or girls, has a common room with a television (with parental controlled satellite channels) and recreational facilities, such as a pool table.
