School Academics > Approach to Education |
We consider the school as a dynamic team. Administrators, teachers, and students are all active members of this team. Since students are the ones who benefit most directly from the school’s educational system, they should be most concerned that the system is of a high quality.
Everyone has a job to do and everyone is accountable. Administrators, students and staff "self-audit" in order to discover and correct errors. It is teamwork that allows us to reach heights that are difficult to reach otherwise.
The SABIS® approach is founded upon realizing potential. Its foundation is a structured program that emphasizes smart effective teaching, follow-up, re-teaching and active student participation, coupled with tried and tested methodologies that maximize and standardize what happens in the classroom. Contact time between teacher and student is never wasted and each minute is utilized to enhance learning.

ISC-Lahore is no different in this regard and pushes forward its dynamic tri-lingual curriculum using all the invaluable tools and methodologies that SABIS® has to offer. |

Starting at Grade 3, courses specify a minimum number of "units of information” that students need to learn. This minimum includes the simple concepts tested by the SABIS AMS® as well as Basic Questions, which test the material that "everyone should know". In addition to this, courses include extended material for more able students. (Details are available upon request.) Students are shown how to study. Those who need support are encouraged to stay for after-school study, where they receive clear guidance. Students who have attended after-school study have benefited greatly.

School Expectations
Some Candidates may find that student expectations in our system vary from those of other schools in the region. Our system places considerable emphasis on student accountability, responsibility and respect of self and others. Thus, our system strives to enforce discipline in the school in order to facilitate learning and promote good manners. Students who are used to more liberal systems need to adapt our code of behavior, discipline and general appearance.
