Testimonials

I have studied in ISC for 13 years. It is like a second home to me. In fact most of my memories up till now are related to this school. Over the years everyone here became like a family to me. My friends, my teachers, the admin, everyone became my family. In all sorts of troubles they would stand with me and support me all the way through.

In fact the last year at school when i was going through financial troubles the school extended it's hand and gave me the honor of being the first scholarship student in this history of this school. It was a privilege that still seems like a dream to me. And I can never be thankful enough as to how much the school has helped me. The school helped me build a character which helped me accomplish all the challenges in life I have faced so far.

The rigorous schedule of the school is another thing that contributed in me being a 90+ student in all of these 13 years I have been in school. Although the school's timings are more than any other school in Lahore, it is not really a bad thing. More time means that we get more time to ask the teachers questions. Moreover, weekly exams also helped me make a study routine as the idea to ace each exam would force me to study hard on a daily basis.

Another thing that helped me academically is the teachers. Unlike other schools where students only memorize, our school focuses on teaching the concept behind each and every topic. Math concepts which students of other schools have difficulty in, are completely simplified by our teachers. Thus I am really thankful to my teachers who have actually developed an interest in me to strive to gain knowledge.

Another very useful department in our school is the SLO. From here I have learned quite a lot. Leadership skills, honesty, hard work and care for all are only few of the traits I have acquired from this department. If I have to summarize in a few words then the SLO has developed my personality into something I can be proud.

My future plan is to go in the line of medicine and achieve as much success as possible and repay the debt to this school by becoming someone this school can be proud of. I do not know how I will fare but I am quite positive that with the amount of love, care and support this school has given me, I can overcome the biggest of hurdles.

Muhammad Bin Awais (Graduate 2012)

I had spent 13 years at ISC – Lahore. It is clear that the rigorous curriculum at Choueifat helped me, like most other Choueifat graduates, to excel in the classroom at college. However, what is not so obvious is that the international exposure I received at Choueifat Lahore, specifically with reference to my foreign teachers and out-of-class learning opportunities, truly made my transition to the United States to Duke completely seamless.

My accomplishments at Duke

  1. Studied Marketing and Business Management, in addition to Religion, Philosophy, and various social sciences, which contributed to a very diverse, inter-disciplinary liberal arts education
  2. Created the first University-recognized Pakistani Students Association at Duke, and was elected the inaugural President.
  3. Played on the Duke University Squash team, and competed at the College Squash Nationals at Harvard University.
  4. Established important business contacts that I can leverage to pursue my own company’s goals.

I am currently the Chief Executive Officer at Al-hamd Corporation, one of the largest textiles manufacturing entities in Pakistan. I am spearheading Alhamd’s expansion plans, and am leading the company’s foray into the energy industry. In addition to that, I am a director at Blend soft FZC, a high-end business software company based out of Dubai, UAE. I am managing and coordinating Blendsoft’s global marketing efforts, as well as contributing at various stages of product development.

Asad Sheikh ( Alumni)

Attending ISC Lahore has truly been an academically enlightening experience for me. It has helped me learn to work hard in relentless pursuit of my future goals. The faculty members have prepared me well for both external and internal exams, and have taught me that the key to success in life lies in hard work and dedication.

In addition, my time at ISC Lahore has taught me to manage myself and handle tough, academically challenging situations with relative ease. In the future, I plan to pursue a career in medicine in North America.

I will attend McGill University in Montreal, Canada for the next few years, with the ultimate goal of becoming a good doctor, a goal that ISC Lahore has made me more than capable of achieving.

Omer Adil ( Valedictorian 2012 )

Aristotle said, “Those who educate children well are to be honored than parents, for these only give life, those the art of living well.”

The constant encouragement and support helped us overcome every obstacle that we encountered. The school taught us the importance of education, leadership and helped us to learn how to prioritize.  I would like to thank ISC for contributing so much into making us who we are today.

Tauha Mubarak ( Head Boy 2010-11 )

While teaching in various educational institutes before coming to ISC Lahore, I had seen all of them claiming about Professionalism. However ISC is the only such institute where I learned the true meaning of Professionalism.

This professionalism starts reflecting the very same moment when you enter through the gate of this institution. By the time when you walk through various academics and administrative departments, you personally experience many great differences which are unlikely to be observed in other institutions. These differences are not just confined to the facilities that you see within its gigantic startling campus building. There are several other distinctive tools which give Choueifat a world-class recognition and repute. SABIS SLO®, SABIS Points System® , SABIS Academic Quality Control®, SABIS Integrated Testing and Learning System®, SABIS Books Series®,  SABIS Web School® etc. are a few such examples.  If I make an attempt to write about the benefits of these tools, then it’s quite impossible for me here. Because a few paged magazine that you are holding in your hand is quite insufficient for this purpose.

All that you observe here within the premises of ISC Lahore is just one side of the picture. The other side is its corporate level worldwide, although not visible directly, however well-reflected in every of it academic and administrative system.

In short I would say, Choueifat is not just a school giving education to its students, more than that it is a Culture, where balanced personalities are nurtured, which are able enough to serve the societies or even entire nations.

Amad-ud-din Raja ( Staff Member ISC - Lahore )

With its enormous backfield, aesthetic buildings and comfortable environment, ISC has captivated me at the first sight. ISC provides top quality education to a highly diverse student body. Everyone has an unique character and is friendly and willing to help.

.

I soon found myself adapted to this new and foreign environment. Moreover, I found teachers are amicable and conscientious. Class is interactive and productive. The education equips us with ability, strengthens our moral values and provides us opportunities to succeed in universities.

Wu Ranlu ( 12S-Student 2012)

My name is Faiza Faaiz Khan and I have been a Choueifat Lahore parent since 1994. My relationship with the school has been an enduring 18 years long and still going strong. My eldest son Asad Rahim Khan started his academic career at the tender age of three at Choueifat Lahore in KG1 some 18 years back. He has recently graduated from London School of Economics and Political Science with a LLB in Law and is starting classes this September to be a Barrister at BPP and Lincoln's Inn in London. Saad Rahim Khan my second son also started his school career in KG1 at Choueifat Lahore and is now in his Junior year at the University of Notre Dame in USA. My two younger sons Omar Rahim Khan and Osman Rahim Khan are still at Choueifat in grades 10 and 8 respectively.

Through the years Choueifat has become a second home for the whole family. For the four of them school has always been a place where they have been comfortable and content with who they are. My elder sons have made lifelong friends and have an enduring relationship and respect for their former teachers. The younger two are thriving academically and love to take part in extra curricular activities.

Choueifat is academically challenging.  The system of weekly AMS and Periodic testing keeps the kids on their toes without putting too much pressure on them. Students who get into the habit of studying a little everyday do very well in the Choueifat system. What I like best about Choueifat is that it is one of the few schools in Pakistan that offers its student a choice between the British system of O' Levels and A' Levels and the American High School Diploma. This gives students flexibility when applying to universities outside Pakistan.

Choueifat gives its students a wide array of extra curricular activities to choose from at a very early age. Sports, drama, debate, year book and art are some of the few activities that students can opt to take part in. The school also has an active Student Life Organization (SLO) where students are involved in peer tutoring, class discipline, academic monitoring of students in junior grades and organizing different school competitions, festivals and fairs. My sons have always been very active in SLO activities, my eldest son Asad represented Choueifat Lahore in Abu Dhabi in 2008 in the yearly Leadership Program where high achieving students from all sister Choueifat Schools come together in one place to share and learn from each others experiences. My younger son Omar represented Choueifat Lahore in the biannual Choueifat Regional Sports Tournament held in Beirut in 2010. Both my children enjoyed these trips immensely and I saw a marked rise in their confidence levels. Later Asad became the Head Boy in 12th grade and Saad was the Year Book and News Letter editor in his senior year.

Our family's experience with International School of Choueifat Lahore has been a very positive one. The staff and faculty of the school are like our extended family. I hope that the remaining years with Choueifat bring about the same results that we have gotten accustomed to over the years.

Faiza Faaiz ( Parent of Current & Ex-Students)

I have the privilege of being associated with ISC-Lahore as part of the administration team for the last five years. Choueifat is a great institute that not only imparts quality education to students but also helps build their character and personality through extra curricular activities. This institute represents an international community among staff and students that helps promote liberal values, pluralistic attitudes and a holistic approach to life. I am proud of being a part of the Choueifat family.

Humaira Sami ( ISC – Administration 2012 )

In the past eight years I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with students on a one to one basis, getting them engaged in the material and supporting their emotional development. Working with our students here at Choueifat is  very rewarding. I feel that I am learning new things every day. The staff is supportive and demonstrates flexibility and care  towards students and each other. Seeing this kind of care in action makes me feel proud about the work that we are doing. It is wonderful watching children’s eyes light up and how excited they get when they realize they have accomplished something new! I am absolutely devoted to my job and find it to be challenging and rewarding each and every day. There is always something new to look forward to and I truly enjoy coming to work each day.

Humaira Qureshi ( Staff Member ISC - Lahore)

I feel proud to be studying at ISC – Lahore. At ISC I have learnt different study skills and have also learnt how to respect and help others. It has also provided me with an opportunity to fulfill my dreams in every possible way.

Jawad Akram ( Student of 8 B- 2012 )

My time at ISC Lahore has been one of the best experiences of my life. It has taught me how to be more organized and how to divide my time equally between school work and extra curricular activities. My school has motivated and influenced me to work hard and thrive to achieve the best that I can. My goal is to graduate from ISC and earn my High School Diploma to further pursue my career in engineering. My years at ISC have been truly remarkable and is something I will remember throughout my life.

Danish Barque ( Student of 8 A- 2012 )

When I walked into ISC as a first grade student, I had no idea how big a world of knowledge had opened for me. Here I have learnt that there is no limit of acquiring knowledge. Knowledge is something that no one has ever conquered. Now, as I am studying in eighth grade, I have learnt that I have to keep striving for more and my school offers that opportunity with arms open.

Hamza Ahmad ( Student of 8 A- 2012 )

My nine years experience at The International School of Choueifat – Lahore has been exciting and wonderful. I love being around everyone and working independently at my school. I have learnt a lot from my teachers, who are always kind, caring and willing to help. I am confident that ISC – Lahore is preparing me to achieve all my goals in the future. ISC – Lahore will always have a special place in my heart.

Asma Ahmad Nasir ( Student of 8 B- 2012 )

A student’s vision about Lahore Choueifat

“Things changed dramatically. I went into the International School of Choueifat Pakistan as an angry, hurt defensive teenager. I emerged a fairly well-balanced, happy young adult with numerous friends. It is at ISC-Lahore that I found an odd sense of belonging. I was chosen by my school to be one of the three students sent on an all-expenses paid trip to Cairo for an International leadership camp: the SABIS® World Student Life Training Camp 2010. This camp changed my life. The ten days I spent there were the most revealing of my life. Throughout the camp, we were given presentations and lectures from leaders all over the world. It is here that I learned that we are who we choose to become.

Today, when I am asked the question, “Who are you and where are you from?” I am no longer bothered by that anxious feeling in the pit of my stomach. Instead, I laugh and tell them that I am girl from nowhere who became the girl from everywhere. I have learned that I can be whoever I want to be. Moving so much has not defined me. My parent’s problems have not defined me. Not having a constant in my life has not defined me. I define myself”

                                                                                     Khushbakht Sohail, Grade 12, 2011

A graduate’s experience

“The SABIS ®Educational system made me want to explore on my own and helped me realize my potential. It widened my horizons and made me set and achieve higher goals. Moreover, the learning environment at ISC-Lahore was truly conducive and the career advising definitely helped me choose medicine as my major. I support ISC Lahore in gratitude for the experience it gave me that made me what I am today; and also to enable it to afford the same experience to future generations of ISC Lahore students.

Mohsin Shah, President Alumni Association, 2005

Employee’s work experience at Choueifat

“In my four years of experience at ISC- Lahore, I had witnessed and experienced faculty and administrators who are very committed and dedicated to the full implementation of SABIS® Education Systems. I was among staff members who were very focused on making difference in students’ lives. Every teacher worked constantly to ensure that no one was ever coplacement about academic results. Each time the students achieved their goals, the bar was raised. I experienced amazing students who were extremely respectful to their teachers, concerned about their academic performances and most importantly they competed continuously for better achievement. I miss the students the most and I am so glad to hear how successful they became.”

                                                                 Restom Kassem, Ex-Staff Member, 1994-1998

American International School System

“It was a pleasure to see the high standard of discipline maintained by your students who gave a very good account of themselves while competing with other schools.

We hope you will continue to join hands with us in order to help groom the young children under our care.”

Mr. Mark A. Rozie, Principal, American International School System
