Studying at ISC-Lahore

Curriculum

The SABIS® curriculum implemented at ISC-Lahore emphasizes the core subjects of English, mathematics, and world languages in addition to providing students with knowledge of a broad range of subjects including science, social studies, art, music, health, physical education, and computer studies.

A second language is stressed throughout the curriculum and required for students at all grade levels. From KG1, students have the option to study either Urdu or French, and they receive a minimum of one hour of instruction in their chosen language each day. From Grade 7 onwards, students are also required to study a third language, either French or Chinese Mandarin.

SABIS® Book Series

In order to ensure that our curriculum is successfully implemented, we use the SABIS® Book Series in Kindergarten through High School in all core subjects. All SABIS® Books are designed to dovetail with the SABIS® curriculum and follow the SABIS Point System® of teaching.

Subsequently, every book is divided, in line with every course in the curriculum, into concepts or “points” which form the building blocks of student learning.

Advising

Students in grades 7 through 9 at ISC-Lahore have weekly advising classes addressing topics that immediately affect their lives. Topics and themes include responsibility, tolerance, citizenship, respect, honesty, integrity, compassion, loyalty, and commitment. The curriculum is designed in a manner that helps students acquire the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to help them overcome challenges in life ahead.
